Harley Quinn Season 3 is finally on its way, as HBO Max has released a trailer that reveals what kind of sexy shenanigans are about to come. SPOILERS FOR HARLEY QUINN AHEAD…

After two years, DC hit Harley Quinn the Animated Series is back for its third season!

A new trailer has been dropped by the streaming service HBO Max, which details what’s to come in the upcoming season, all set to the song “Bad Reputation” by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

And if the trailer is anything to go by, this season is clearly going to be “fun and raunchy and a little scary,” as Poison Ivy states.

Are Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy together in the Season 3 trailer?

There’s a lot going on in the trailer, which begins two weeks from where Season 2 left off, when Harley and Ivy ran away from her and Kite Man’s wedding amidst explosions and gunfire.

That’s already romantic and crazy enough, but the first thing Harley does in the trailer is kidnap Suicide Squad’s Amanda Waller/Viola Davis as an anniversary gift for Ivy.

The trailer begins by immediately referencing another DC franchise

This is part of their “Eat Bang Kill Tour” as “BFF-GFFs,” which is no doubt how they are defining their relationship. The trailer depicts them robbing banks, kicking butt, and doing “a ton of banging,” as stated by Harley.

According to Kaley Cuoco, who voices Harley, Season 3 is going to focus on Harley and Ivy’s relationship: “Their relationship is the main focal point of this season, and it’s hilarious and actually really, really sweet,” she states to TV Line.

Harley Quinn executive producer Justin Halpern, added that the third season will also be diving deeper into Ivy herself. He states to Digital Spy: “We spent two years digging into Harley, and Ivy was her own character, but her stories were told mostly in relation to Harley.

“I think in this third season, it’d be interesting to flip that, and dig deeper into Ivy and her life, and tell some stories through her point of view. So, we’re excited to be able to do that because it feels completely new.”

What else happens in the Harley Quinn Season 3 trailer?

The trailer also shows Harley and Ivy saving Clayface and King Shark from prison, after they were captured in Season 2. So now that the gang’s back together, fans can expect a bunch of hair-brained schemes throughout Season 3.

The trailer is jam-packed with crazy scenarios, with Jim Gordon fighting Two Face, a kid getting a giant wooden spear shot through the throat, Batman getting rude with Catwoman, the Joker running for Mayor, and Bane just being his Bane-y self.

Other new villains are introduced, such as the Swamp Thing and the Court of Owls, which now appear to be an Eyes Wide Shut-style sex cult, holding a “Grand Orgy” in the trailer.

One notable moment in the trailer is around a minute in, when James Gunn – Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad director – makes an appearance, sitting on a vibrating chair version of Clayface.

Since Season 2 had Batman director Tim Burton make a fictional cameo, it seems like the show plans on keeping up the tradition.

When can I watch Harley Quinn Season 3?

Harley Quinn season 3 will be available to stream on HBO Max on July 28.

Thankfully we only have a month to wait, before we can get back to watching one of the raunchiest, funniest, and best superhero shows out there.
