Since its release in December of 2015, Rainbow Six Siege has seen a steady influx of new content from maps to redesigns and a healthy dose of brand new operators.

Shifting Tides, the final major update slated for 2019, is set to introduce two new powerful characters to the fray and a surprising reveal has teased a few gadgets that will be accompanying them on the battlefield.

Two new playable operators, Kali and Wamai will come equipped with unique tools that look to offset the current meta and shake up overall strategies heading into the near future. One an Attacker and the other a Defender, the characters should be implemented on the Technical Test Server shortly after a detailed reveal on November 10 at the Season 10 Pro League Finals.

Following a vague post on November 6, a short trailer was unveiled on November 7 that gave a deeper look into a handful of upcoming gadgets.

Starting out, the video revealed a powerful bolt-action rifle weapon wielded by Kali that’s capable of blasting sizeable holes through multiple walls at once.

Following up, a breaching gadget was displayed that can pierce through reinforced surfaces making Kali a new ‘hard-breacher.’ Launching from an under-barrel attachment the projectile is able to travel from a distance and destabilize enemy defenses.

Additionally, the video revealed an exciting gadget with a brand new function. Wamai will come equipped with a unique deployable that serves to negate incoming projectiles by sucking them towards a powerful magnet.

In the teaser, a grenade is launched at a target dummy only to be sucked in by the magnetic pull of the new gadget. Similar to Jäger’s “Magpie,” Wamai will be able to counter the effects of grenades however, instead of nullifying the explosive, this magnetic tool will actually pull enemy projectiles away from their intended targets.

While we haven’t been given a full rundown of the new operators just yet, a fleshed-out reveal is set for the Season 10 Pro League Finals on November 10. Featuring teams such as FaZe Clan and Ninjas in Pyjamas, competition is set to kick off on November 9 in Japan.

In the meantime, here’s a rundown on everything we’re expecting from Shifting Tides.
