How to move your Palworld base to a new location

For those looking to relocate their Palworld base, here is everything you need to know in order to make the change.

Palworld has taken over the gaming industry, the new title breaking Steam records and quickly becoming the go-to game to start off in 2024. Despite controversy surrounding the new game in regards to its resemblance to Pokemon, Palworld is filled with content for players to dive right into.

One such aspect of the game that fans have already begun going crazy over is fortifying and building up their base. However, many players may now be finding themselves wanting to move their base of operations after initially picking a spot that is less than perfect.

Setting up a base near resources, rare items and more is an important part of Palworld. After all, traversing through the world to scavenge is less than ideal.

For those wanting to know how to move their base location after sinking a few hours into the game, here is the process to do so.

Palworld: How to move your base 

First things first, players need to decide where they want to relocate their base to. We recommend finding an area that has a large area of flat surface but is still located near resources.

Once you’ve figured out where you want to move your base to, simply go into the map and hover over the base icon. From there, you should get an option to disassemble your Palbox.

Once that has been clicked, a new box will appear explaining what will happen if you do decide to move your base. 

• Structures not placeable outside of the base will be disassembled.
• The remaining structures will not be disassembled and will remain.
• All Pals at this base will be stored in your Palbox.
• Doing this will not cause any of your Pals to disappear.
• Once disassembled, Palbox cannot be restored.

If you’re still happy to move, select yes and your Palbox will begin to disassemble. From there, travel over to your new base location and build a Palbox to begin setting up a new base of operations.

However, it is important to note that resources and items stored at your base will not automatically transfer over. As such, be prepared to do a fair few trips as you’ll have to move resources over by hand.
