Epic Games have confirmed that the previously-leaked Flintlock pistol will be added soon to Fortnite, and the stats for it have already been leaked.

UPDATE – March 18

According to the in-game announcements screen, the Flintlock pistol will be coming to Fortnite soon, and it’s very likely to happen on Wednesday, March 20, which is when the v8.11 update will be going live.

The official in-game description of the weapon is: “A trusty sidearm. Be careful! It’s got a kick to it!”

Fortnite’s Flintlock pistol has been officially announced via the in-game announcement screen, which also reveals that weapons official description.

UPDATE – March 17

The in-depth statistics of the Flintlock pistol have apparently been leaked, according to game files data mined by Storm Shield One, which indicated that the weapon will apparently come in two variants – Common and Uncommon.

The Uncommon variant will deal 90 damage at point-blank distance and 36 at long range, while the Common version will deal 86 and 34.4 damage respectively.

The reload speeds of the two variants will be 3.045 seconds and 3.19 seconds respectively, and both weapons will use Heavy Bullets for ammo.

The full set of leaked stats for both variants can be seen below, but keep in mind that these are subject to change by the time the weapon actually does get released.

Original Story

The hugely successful battle royale title received a brand new update for Season 8 on March 12 with the V8.10 patch – adding a brand new vehicle, weapon balancing and a whole host of other changes.

While skins and other cosmetic items were already been leaked by eager data miners, it appears that they have also discovered a new weapon in the form of the Flintlock pistol.

Epic GamesThe Flintlock pistol can be spotted in this loading screen.

Eagle-eyed fans would have noticed its appearance in the Season 8 loading screen – being pointed to the sky by the Blackheart skin. It clearly fits in with the theming of Season 8 – as it is yet another addition that suits players with a Pirate-themed skin.

The sounds that the weapon will make, being shot up close, from a medium-range distance and from long-range, have also been revealed and it looks the gun will leave enemy players ears ringing – if they happen to survive its attack.

They can be heard below, thanks for Fortnite leaker FortTory, who posted the whole set of audio files to Twitter.

There’s no word on when this pistol is set to be added to the battle royale mode as the next update from Epic Games is not expected just yet – seeing as the v8.10 patch has only just been released.

Keep on following Dexerto for all the breaking news and updates about Fortnite season 8, as and when they are revealed.

TimTheTatman rage quits after finding three fishing rods in Fortnite

Fortnite players know all too well what it’s like to land in a hot spot and struggle to find a weapon, including TimTheTatMan, who hilariously rage quit after he found nothing but fishing rods.

Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar has jumped back on the Fortnite bandwagon in Season 5. The latest update has brought a lot of old stars back, and for the most part, the reception has been positive.

In Tim’s case though, it hasn’t been all sunshine and roses. He wanted to enjoy everything the new season has to offer. Instead, all he got was fishing rods and lots of them.

TimTheTatman is a talented gamer in his own right, but he’s also hilarious to watch.

TimTheTatman descended onto Salty Towers with his squad, looking for an ideal place to land. Unfortunately, the two vacant rooftops he saw both had fishing rods. “Oh good, a fishing pole, oh good, another fishing pole, okay,”  he said.

He decided to land on a house instead. “If I come in here and there’s a fishing pole, I’m leaving,” he said while breaking into the attic with his pickaxe. “I’m literally not kidding. I’m backing out if there’s a fishing pole in here.”

Fortunately, there wasn’t one in the attic, but there was nothing else either, so he dove a little deeper. He dropped down the staircase, turned left it into the kitchen, and hilariously found another fishing rod staring into his soul.

It’s not ideal to find a fishing rod as your first weapon in Fortnite.

Without saying a word, TimTheTatman opened up the menu, quit the game, and placed his hands on his head in disbelief. “I’m not doing it,” he said, as he struggled to find the words to sum up his rage.

“The two guns I was going to land on [were] fishing poles,” he added. “I open up a door and go left, fishing pole. I’ll try again. When you guys are done, I’ll be ready to go again. I’m not going to play that game. I’m not going to do it.”

There’s nothing worse than landing in a spot surrounded by enemies and finding nothing useful.

Still, TimTheTatman’s fans were rolling on the floor laughing after seeing him get so riled up about it. Plus, the fact it happened to be a fishing rod made it even funnier.
