Popular YouTuber and ‘DramaAlert’ host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem and online tournament host website UMG have partnered up once again to host the fifth running of the ‘Friday Fortnite’ celebrity tournament.

Returning for the fifth week in a row, the weekly competition has turned into a fan-favorite event, and will once again feature a whopping $20,000 prize pool.

The Friday Fortnite tournament is an effort by KEEMSTAR to strengthen the bridge between the popular Battle Royale title and quality content creation.

As usual, this week’s competition will feature some of the biggest names in the online community, including members of the Clout Gang, FaZe Clan, Team SoloMid, The Sidemen, OpTic Gaming, 100 Thieves, Luminosity Gaming, and a host of other big YouTubers and Twitch Streamers such as Ninja, Roman Atwood, Timthetatman, and more.

The winner’s of last week’s tournament were the TSM pro player duo of ‘Myth’ and ‘Hamlinz,’ who will be teaming up once again to defend their championship and become the first two players to win Friday Fortnite more than once.

The payouts for Week Five of Friday Fortnite will be the following:

1st Place – $10,000

2nd Place – $7,000

3rd place – $3,000

Here is the full bracket of the double elimination tournament, which will automatically update as the competition progresses.

Start Time: June 8th (4pm EST, 1pm PST, 9pm BST, 7am AEDT)

Because there are no custom games or lobbies in Fortnite yet, the tournament is played on public servers using the following rules:

Rules:

2v2 Matches

Streaming Rules:

UPDATED: You must have your delay set to 120 seconds on your OBS settings when you are streaming, failing to do so will result in a forfeit and or a replay of the match that was played.

Tournament Rules:

Winner’s Bracket – The hosting team will host a SQUAD game session. Then they will invite his teammate, and their opponents to the game session and then begin their match.

Loser’s Bracket – The hosting team will host a SQUAD BLITZ game session. Then they will invite his teammate, and their opponents to the game session and then begin their match.

How To Win:

For this tournament you will play two games. Each game you must keep track of your kills for each game played. The combined amount of kills for each game will determine which team will win the match. If out of the two games played the kills are tied a third map will be played to determine a winner for the match.

Sabotage:

You will party up as a SQUAD or DUOS with your opponent based on the type of match (1v1, 2v2). Any player inside of that queued session MAY NOT destroy any bases made by their opponent, make them fall, or any other actions that may help lead to that person’s death.

Examples of sabotage include but are not limited to:

  • Breaking or weakening opponent’s built or non built structures or cover by any means.
  • Causing opponents to miss shots or miss opportunities for advancing their scores in any way shape or form.
  • Building in front of your opponent.
  • Boogie Bombing your opponent.
  • The use of a boogie bomb on your opponent at any point in the game are subject to disqualifications.

Match Issues:

For no-shows in this tournament if you fail to respond within a fair given time frame you may be forfeited from the tournament.

To report another team for a no show for the match you will need to contact the UMG Admin Demo or Mike so they can handle it accordingly.

All forfeits will be handled and made by the judgement of the UMG Admin Demo or Mike.

The Friday Fortnite #4 tournament will be live-streamed on the UMGEvents Twitch channel, as well as on the individual channels of many of the participants.

Streams of the competition will be added to this article once the start time of the competition draws near.

What’s included in Fortnite Crew membership? Battle Pass, skins, prices

Fortnite Crew membership allows players to get the Battle Pass, V-Bucks, exclusive skins and other monthly benefits for a set price. The list of rewards will update each month, but it’s made a promising start to kick off Season 5.

Epic Games have confirmed that the new system will come into action alongside the game’s first major update of Season 5. Instead of having to purchase individual skins from the Fortnite Item Shop like usual, the developers are offering guaranteed rewards to Crew members that cannot be obtained any other way.

Monthly subscriptions have been all the rage since Netflix rose to prominence, but now many major players in the gaming world have followed suit. Xbox has its Ultimate Game Pass, for example, and now Fortnite’s creators have come up with their own.

Let’s run through what’s included.

Fortnite Crew membership price and start date

One of the most important factors in a player making up their mind about buying Fortnite Crew will be the price. The full price list can be seen below, for various currencies:

  • $11.99
  • £9.99

This looks to be pretty reasonable, if you consider the Battle Pass is usually $9.50 anyway. Aside from that, it’s also worth noting that the Fortnite Crew membership won’t be available until December 2, which is when Season 5 launches.

What’s included? (December 2020)

The Fortnite Crew outfit pack for December will include skins and cosmetics unobtainable in any other way.

According to an official blog post from Epic Games, the Fortnite Crew membership will include the following:

  • Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass
  • An exclusive monthly Crew Pack
  • 1,000 V-Bucks each month

These rewards will vary from month to month in terms of what’s included in the skin pack, though based on how obsessive the community has become over skins and cosmetics, it will likely be a popular event to open it each time.

They said in an official statement: “Monthly Crew Packs always contain a new Outfit along with at least one accessory. All items are exclusive to Fortnite Crew members.”

For those who haven’t yet seen it, a Fortnite Crew trailer was released on November 24.

  2. Enter the Battle Pass menu screen.
  3. Click the Fortnite Crew signup icon.
  4. Enter your details and complete the sign-up!

The Fortnite Crew rewards will differ slightly month on month, in terms of what’s included in the Outfit Pack.

Epic Games have confirmed all you have to do, once you’re all signed up, is log into your Primary Platform each monthly subscription period to access your subscription content. This will vary from month to month in terms of what’s included, though generally the V-Bucks and Battle Pass will be guaranteed.

Is it cross platform?

In a series of frequently answered questions, Epic Games have confirmed a player’s Crew account will only work for their primary platform. For example, if you sign up for the Crew on Xbox One or Series X|S, it won’t carry over to PlayStation 4/5.

On the subject, they have said: “Your Subscription is associated with the platform on which you purchased it (your “Primary Platform”) until it is canceled and is not transferable. Be sure to choose the platform (e.g., Xbox, PlayStation, Switch) you purchase your Subscription on carefully. You’ll be able to access the items you receive from the Subscription across different platforms, but the V-Bucks you receive may not be redeemable on other platforms.”

We will update this every month and add new details about Fortnite Crew rewards, as and when that information is made available.
