Two more loading screens have been leaked for Season 9, for weeks 3 and 4, and they reveal not only some interesting cosmetics, but also include a hidden meaning.

As with previous seasons, Season 9 has its own set of season-long challenges, similar to the ‘Discovery’ challenges before, this time called Utopia.

The loading screens in the game have more than just an aesthetic purpose, of course, as they also give players hints and clues to finding secret banners and stars hidden on the map.

The loading screens have also been used to tell the ‘story’ of the game too, such as the prisoner skin performing his ritual, which eventually led to the volcano arriving.

Season 9 Week 3 and Week 4 loading screens

Dropping alongside the v9.10 update, the two loading screens for week 3 and 4 of Season 9 not only include the clues for hidden items, but also brand new skins and styles.

Week 3’s loading screen, via @FireMonkeyFN, shows a new dog skin, surrounded by smaller dog pets, and the battle star hint is visible among the graffiti on the wall.

And then for Week 4, the loading screen shows off the new drones, which have just been added in the v9.10 update.

Before the guides hidden in the images are any use to you, though, you will need to complete the weekly challenges for the respective weeks.

Week 3 challenges are expected to go live on Thursday, May 23, and we’ll have guides for any of the trickier ones, should you be stuck.

Once completed, you’ll simply need to do some close inspection of these images to find where you need to go – or, you could always cheat and use our location guide for the hidden star too.
