Fortnite has dropped various offical teasers for Chapter 5 Season 2, which is called Myths & Mortals. This includes a new teaser trailer, various skins, weapons and more as part of the Greek Mythology themed season. Here are all the teasers explained.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is right around the verge, as the current season concludes with a Pandora’s Box in-game live event. With a huge Titan Hand appearing near the Ruined Reels POI and a Pandora’s Box tethered to it, the community banded together to bust it open, unleashing a flaming tornado with wicked souls emerging.

While all of this is happening on the island, Epic Games has begun releasing official teasers for the future season, and the company’s Co-Founder, Mark Rein, has also disclosed his word for the next season.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 teasers reveal Zeus, Hades skin and Greek Mythology theme

On March 4, 2024, the official Fortnite X account posted the first teaser for the forthcoming season, confirming the Greek Mythology theme and revealing much more that would be added to the game in the following days.

The first official teaser for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 features a figure that resembles the Greek God of Thunder Zeus, hurling a Lightning Bolt made out of a constellation in space toward the sky. The teaser was accompanied by the words, “Can you feel the thunder?”, followed by a lightning bolt emoji.

Looking closely at the teaser several fans pointed out how the character holding the lightning bolt has grenades strapped to their body and under the lightning bolt constellation, is a spear which might be the next weapon introduced in the upcoming season.

Furthermore the Zeus skin was also teased on the front image of the Pandora’s Box which consisted of a total of four images. According to several sources on X, the first image is Zeus, followed by Ares, Hades, and Cerberus, rumored to be the next teasers until the new season arrives.

However, it wasn’t Ares that was posted on Tuesday, instead Epic has showcased the Greek god of Hades, who is the god of death and king of the underworld. Hades was revealed by Epic at the exact same time Zeus was the day before.

Epic Games has posted another official teaser image, this time many believe it is for a previously leaked Aphrodite skin. Fortnite did not provide a name, but have posted the image to their socials with the caption: “Don’t fly too close to the sun…”

This is the first time they have mentioned the word “fly,” despite alluding to it with previous offical teasers. The ability to fly is therefore pretty much confirmed to be coming in Season 2, which also supports the widespread speculation and further leaks that have surfaced in the community.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Myths & Mortals Loading Screen

Perhaps Fortnite’s last official teaser, aside from the upcoming trailer is the release of the official Loading Screen for Chapter 5 Season 2. It is jam packed full with new skins, map changes and weapons, as well as finally revealing this season’s official name ‘Myths and Mortals.’

All together there is seven skins being showed off in the Myths & Mortals Loading Screen. Most notably, Rippley Poseidon shown on the left, Cerberus behind Poseidon and Artemis in purple in the top right.

Even though the Rippley Poseidon skin features his famous Trident and crown attire, Epic Games has gone for a more lighthearted approach with their Rippley version, as players are already hailing it the “meme” skin of this season. The Peely skin was released in a previous season and the three gods in the center are those already mentioned above of Zeus, Hades and Aphrodite.

A brand-new SMG and marksman rifle look set to be shaking up the meta in Season 2, which are shown held by Zeus and Aphrodite. As well as this four new Mythic weapons shown in the image are alleged to join, such as Zeus’ Lightning Bolt, Hade’s Chains, Cerberus’ Wolves and Icarus’ Wings.

Behind all the chaos, you can see what looks to be two drastically different new POI locations on the left and right. According to a claimed playtester, eight new POIs are set to be coming this season.
