Popular YouTube vlogger Roman Atwood has announced he’s taking a break from the video platform after releasing a statement detailing the devastating news of his mom’s unexpected passing while on a family vacation.

Roman boasts a massive 15 million subscribers on his vlog channel RomanAtwoodVlogs, and is recognized across the internet for his constant positivity, infectious personality, and his ‘Smile More’ message, which inspires people across the globe to be happier in life.

He took to Twitter to announce the sad news to his fans, posting the emotional explanation of his reasoning for taking a break from YouTube.

YouTube: RomanAtwoodVlogsRoman inspires constant positivity to his 15 million subscribers.

“Yesterday my mom was riding around with my nephew on some little scooters. She fell off hers and hit her head. She immediately lost all vitals. No heart rate and her breathing stopped,” he wrote in the emotional message. “I need to everyone to understand that I will be gone for a bit. I will be by my family’s side, especially my father’s. Please pray for my family and especially for my father.”

“I’ve never been more in shock in my life. I’m numb and in complete disbelief,” Roman describes in absolute emotional agony, “My heart is so heavy. We are all broken over here. Mom was everything to us.”
