Popular Twitch artist 39daph attempted the One Chip Challenge alongside streamer Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker and it didn’t go exactly as planned.

The One Chip Challenge claimed more victims on the last day of Twitchcon when 39daph and Hasan bit off more than they could chew.

In 2016, tortilla chip company Pacqui launched the “One Chip Challenge” where brave souls would post a video of themselves attempting to eat a single Pacqui Carolina Reaper chip. To give an idea of how hot this chip is, in 2013, the Carolina Reaper was named the hottest pepper in the Guinness Book of World Records

While on Hasan’s stream, the Vancouver-based entertainer opened the chip from its package and remarked that “it looks like we just picked it out of a Volcano.”

“There’s like a powerful aura to it,” Hasan commented as Daph handed him half of the chip.

“I have a giant sore,” the Twitch artist added. “It’s going to be really painful.”

Eventually, the two Twitch stars took the plunge and popped the chip into their mouths with a jug of milk standing by in case they couldn’t take the heat. While 39daph lasted a few seconds before it got to her, Hasan kept moving his head, clearly feeling its effects.

After a few seconds, Daph surrendered and tried to spit the chip into a paper bag. “You didn’t even eat it!” Hasan exclaimed before announcing “oh no, I have the hiccups.”

A couple of moments later, the popular artist got off her chair screaming and then downed the milk, resulting in it spilling down her mouth and chin.

For his part, Hasan handled the challenge much better and finished his half of the chip with some milk while Daph ran around the room screaming “it hurts”.

While the challenge may have ended in a milky mess for 39daph, Hasan showed that he could take the heat in a wild contrast.

After this, Daph may be sticking to art in the future – something she’s had a lot of success in paving the way to over 120,000 followers on Twitch.
