Despite being days out from his January 30 boxing contest against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib, Jake Paul has gone on record and explained why he’s already looking ahead towards a future bout with KSI.

On January 30, Jake Paul will be stepping into a boxing ring for his very first professional bout against fellow content creator AnEsonGib in Miami. While the 23-year-old YouTuber already has one amateur victory under his belt, Paul appears all too confident that he’ll be able to walk through his next opponent.

Already alluding to his future plans after the AnEsonGib fight, Paul recently outlined how he’s already looking ahead to an eventual match with long-time rival KSI, who beat his brother Logan Paul in Los Angeles in November 2019.

Throughout a new behind the scenes special produced by DAZN and Matador Content, both Paul brothers were interviewed ahead of the January 30 match against AnEsonGib. While they acknowledged his efforts, the brothers were quick to dismiss the smaller YouTuber’s chances, hinting that they’re already of the mindset that KSI is well within Jake’s sights.

“Jake took my loss harder than I did,” Logan expressed, reflecting on the loss back in November in a sold-out Staples Center. Appearing emotional after his brother’s loss, Jake asserted that “if [he] was in that ring this year, [he] would have won the fight” against KSI.

“Losing to KSI obviously wasn’t easy,” Logan expressed, “but in many ways, it’s giving Jake an opportunity to no longer be the little brother.”

Addressing concerns that he might be getting overconfident and looking past the challenge right in front of him, Jake was adamant that he would be the victor on January 30 and instantly move on to challenge KSI.

“I don’t look past anybody, everyone’s a worthy opponent. But I f**king know I’m going to win. He’s going to get walked through…then it’s on to KSI.”

Hard at work preparing with former professional boxers and certified trainers alike, Jake has supposedly blocked out all distractions in the lead up to his first professional bout. Offering words of advice to his younger brother, Logan explained what’s at stake with the AnEsonGib bout as it serves as a direct path to KSI should Jake win.

“You have to do everything that you possibly can to beat KSI. You have to do it for our family name.”

While Logan’s own potential fight against Antonio Brown appears to be in jeopardy for the time being, it seems as though Jake has plenty of opportunities to jump on should he come away victorious in his professional debut.

There’s no telling if KSI is particularly interested in such a bout however, having called the younger Paul brother “washed up” ahead of his January 30 match against AnEsonGib.
