As the new Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy, Rachel Brosnahan has the scoop on all the details surrounding the upcoming DC movie, including one very important element.

A new Superman will be flying onto screens soon, and according to his co-star, he’ll be wearing his classic hero costume. Rachel Brosnahan will be the Lois Lane to David Corenswet’s Superman, and she’s been letting fans in on what we can expect from Superman: Legacy.

One of the most integral characteristics of Superman (aside from his Kryptonian ways and legendary powers) is his classic blue-and-red suit. So much so, that fans have been searching high and low for clues as to which iteration we’re going to get in the new movie.

While details still remain vague as to what the suit will actually look like, thanks to Rachel Brosnahan, we at least know it’ll be cool.

When speaking to Deadline at the 2024 SAG Awards, Brosnahan shared her excitement at seeing the famous Superman costume, saying: “I got to see the suit — and I was blown away!”

Brosnahan — who beat out other rising stars such as Emma Mackey and Phoebe Dynevor for the role of Lois Lane — is known for her Emmy award-winning role on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

When it comes to her own character, she also shared where she was at in the production process. “I’m still preparing, I’m talking to some journalists, I’m reading a lot of comics — so many I hadn’t read before. It’s been really fun to dig into this universe,” she said.

Despite leading an award-winning series and appearing in the likes of House of Cards and The Blacklist, Superman: Legacy is easily Brosnahan’s biggest project to date.

The superhero movie is set to reboot Superman’s place in the DC Universe, and arrives early on in the Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters slate. While that sounds like a lot of pressure, it seems Brosnahan (and Lois) have a good team behind them.

“James [Gunn] has been through this before a number of times,” she told Variety. “He’s been very helpful and given us a lot of great advice. He’s got a lot of devout followers. I’m a little nervous, but hopefully they feel good about everything we’re doing.”
