Deadpool 3 is set to change the outcome of the MCU with the return of Wolverine – and fans have been given their first look in its official R-rated trailer.

Leave it up to Deadpool to release the first official trailer for the movie during the Super Bowl. The movie is arguably the most anticipated comic book adaptation of the year, with Ryan Reynolds returning as the titular hero and Deadpool and Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine.

As the movie went through production, fans got small teasers here and there like on-set photos, announcements, and a release date.

But the wait is finally over. The trailer for Deadpool 3 has officially been released and is not shy of profanity, blood, and all things Wade Wilson.

Deadpool 3 trailer is finally here

The first trailer for Deadpool 3 has just dropped, and you can watch it below:

Details about the movie storyline have been kept under wraps with many unclear about how the previous two movies will tie into the MCU. Reynolds previously teased that the movie will go in a wildly different direction than ever before, with 20th Century’s earlier heroes shifting into the MCU in a meta way.

Jackman previously shared with SiriusXM that the Deadpool 3 won’t mess with the events of Logan. “All because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines now, we can go back because it’s ‘science’. And so I don’t have to screw with the Logantimeline, which was important to me, and I think probably to the fans, too,” explained the actor.

The new trailer also heavily confirms that Deadpool 3 is sticking to its R-rating. Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick confirmed to The Playlist it wouldn’t be “Disney-fied.” Also, “They are gonna let Deadpool be Deadpool, you know?”

Deadpool 3 is set to release on July 26, 2024.
