A Pokemon Scarlet & Violet was left “terrified” after they encountered a strange bug that caused a wild Froakie to tower above them.

While Pokemon Scarlet & Violet have been well received by fans since release, it’s hard to forget about the amount of glitches and bugs that players encountered at launch.

Although a year’s worth of time has somewhat smoothed over many glaring bugs, trainers traveling around Paldea still manage to find the odd glitch now and then.

Now, one trainer has stumbled across a hilarious yet terrifying bug that “Dynamax’d” a wild Froakie in the Indigo Disk’s Terarium.

A post on the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet subreddit highlighted the strange glitch in a thread titled, “I wasn’t aware Dynamax was a thing in Unova.”

The OP attached a video of the glitch in action, which showed the player riding on Koraidon near a beach in the Terarium. Upon swimming closer to shore, a giant blue figure pops out of nowhere and begins to loom toward the trainer.

As the trainer panned the camera up, a giant, low-poly version of Froakie appeared in the sky. The trainer immediately turned around and ran away from the Froakie as it quickly floated after them.

The trainer explained that the glitch occurred, ” at like 2 AM” and they were utterly “terrified.”

Fans in the comments got a kick out of the strange glitch, with many making jokes about the giant Froakie.

“Dynamax PS1 Froakie doesn’t exist, Dynamax PS1 Froakie can’t hurt you,” said one trainer, while another joked, “I bet it’s got a Jumbo Mark.”

This Froakie glitch may not be an isolated incident, as other trainers in the comments claimed to have encountered giant, low-poly Froakie as well.

Those wanting to test this odd Froakie glitch for themselves can find the Water-type Starter around the Coastal Biome’s northern island after upgrading the Terarium for 3,000 BP.
