The special raid week event follows on from the Detective Pikachu event where you can catch Pokemon that appear in the film and even catch Detective Pikachu himself.

Before the Extraordinary Raid Week starts though, the Pokemon Go May Community Day, which is headlined by Torchic, will take place this weekend.

Legendary raid hour

The popular legendary raid hour returns for a third time. Previously the hour long period where raid battles become more frequent was available as the “Legendary lunch hour”. These took place on March 13 and April 10.

The difference this time is that it won’t take place during lunchtime but in the evening between 6pm and 7pm local time. It will stay on a Wednesday though with this latest one beginning on May 22.

Niantic confirmed that “The number of raids of all levels will increase during the event hour.”

The final part of the Extraordinary Raid Week is the Lapras raid day which takes place on May 25 (May 26 for Asia-Pacific) and runs from 11am to 2pm local time.

The popular transport Pokemon brings some excellent stamina stats, which are useful for defending gyms.

As part of the event, five free raid passes will be available and there is even the chance of encountering a shiny Lapras.

Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra Expansion Pass is finally out, bringing with it both new and returning fan-favorite Pokemon. Here’s all the version exclusive Pokemon for both Sword and Shield.

While the frozen lands of Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra expansion are home to plenty of new Pokemon, there are also a number of iconic ‘mons that have returned. However, there are a few Pokemon that are only available in each version. This can make completing your Pokedex a little tricky, especially if you don’t have a copy of both games. Fortunately, you can catch each version exclusive and simply trade with other trainers.

The addition of Dynamax Adventures allows trainers to encounter previous generation Pokemon and even catch version exclusive Legendaries. While the Sword and Shield’s base game cut a lot of iconic Pokemon from its roster, this expansion features plenty of familiar faces. If you want to know which Crown Tundra Pokemon are exclusive to both Sword and Shield, then check out our guide below.
