Overwatch 2 unexpected Porsche collab

The Cowboy Bebop crossover isn’t the only collab coming to Overwatch 2 in the upcoming patch; Porsche is doing a collaboration with OW2 to make a D.Va skin themed around the Macan 4, one of their new cars.

Overwatch 2 have begun getting more and more ambitious with their crossover events. Hot of the success of their One Punch Man event, as well as overlap with their other IP like some Diablo 4 themed skins, Overwatch’s universe is branching out even more.

The hotly-anticipated Cowboy Bebop Overwatch 2 crossover has been formally announced with a trailer themed after the original anime’s intro to hype it up. And the new Porsche collab has a crown jewel of its own to drum up buzz.

Alongside a Porsche-themed D.Va skin based on the Macan 4, they’re also unveiling a full-size statue of D.Va’s Mech.

Overwatch 2 x Porsche crossover brings D.Va’s mech to life

Though it’s just been the D.Va skin that’s been revealed for now, there’s another skin and some additional cosmetic goodies that’ll be revealed closer to Season 10.

However, concept art of this D.Va skin has since been released that gives an idea of what it’s supposed to look like in game, as well as which parts of her skin were inspired by the vehicle. There’s a lot to go off of here.

While this is certainly an unexpected crossover for Overwatch 2, it makes sense that D.Va would be getting the skin based around a vehicle considering the sleek design of her mech.

What’s more, while that’s all that’s confirmed to be coming in-game at the time of writing, there is something that’s been built outside of the game: A statue.

While you can’t actually fly around in this mech suit, it’s got all the hallmarks of the in-game skin with actual LED light. And it’s 7 feet tall, making this a life-size statue that’d tower over most. It’ll be at Porsche’s full service stall at South by Southwest until March 12 for those who want to see it in person.

The actual Porsche crossover event isn’t coming until Season 10, but we do know there’s another skin and a full in-game event that’s coming alongside it. We’ll provide details on that when we know more.
