In December 2023, Selena Gomez confirmed the news on Instagram that she’s dating producer Benny Blanco, known for working with the likes of Lil Dicky, Halsey, and Addison Rae, among countless others. She simply posted the word “facts” beneath a now-deleted post made by Popfactions, and fans ran away with the confirmation.

When Gomez was met with confused and sometimes hateful comments, she took to clapping back against her detractors. “I know what’s best for me and I will fight till I get what I deserve,” she said in one comment. “I appreciate your misguided input but I’m growing.”

Many of the comments stemmed from the fact Benny Blanco is good friends with Justin Bieber.

A few days later, a source spoke with Entertainment Tonight, revealing that “things have been going really well between them and Selena is happy. She thinks Benny is very funny and of course, extremely talented. Selena is in a great place in her life and feels content and relaxed. She is enjoying where things are going.”
