Midnight Photo Studio: What’s the K-drama about?

A lonely photographer continuing his family legacy meets a devoted lawyer who cannot tolerate injustice and forms an unlikely partnership and possibly love.

Seo Ki-joo has a less-than-ordinary job as the owner of a photography studio. Only opening at night, he continues his family’s legacy of taking photos of the dead. The store only caters to customers from the afterlife or ghosts. He’s the seventh-generation owner and helps souls who are stuck and unable to move on. Ki-joo straddles the line between life and death.

They find refuge within his store and find a sense of comfort in his photos. Ki-joo soon meets passionate lawyer Han Bom. She was once successful, but struggles to get new cases after stepping down to a lesser role. When meeting Ki-joo, she learns the truth and they begin a partnership to help the lost souls find peace.

Midnight Photo Shop has already captured fans’ interest not only for its main cast but recent reports of its emotional storyline. According to Soompi, during the official script reading, both Joo and Kwn started tearing up while reciting one of the K-dramas scenes.

Midnight Photo Studio: When is the release date?

Midnight Photo Studio is set to release on March 11, 2024, and will run until April 30, 2024.

The K-drama will have a total of 16 episodes. For now, it will be released on ENA and Genie TV, with no reports of another streaming platform taking on the rights to air.
