With its nature as an online multiplayer game, Helldivers 2 is forever changing, with new challenges, battles, and worlds to discover and destroy in the name of democracy. However, one thing stays the same, the dangerous and often underestimated enemies that plague those planets.
No matter where you drop, there’s always going to be a nest of bugs or encampment of robots waiting for you – but some can feel a little more important, or tricky than others. This is the case for the Scout Striders, which has many players falling on the battlefield.
So, here’s how to find them and how to kill Scout Striders in Helldivers 2.

What are Scout Striders in Helldivers 2?
Arrowhead Game StudiosScout Striders are part of the Automaton faction of Helldivers 2 and look like a two-legged bot vehicle, much like something off Star Wars.
It’s a taller vehicle with a robot on its back controlling the weapon coming out of its main body part and can pack quite a punch to any unprepared team – it’s not to be underestimated.

You’ll find Scout Striders in all Automaton planets, so on the right-hand side of the galaxy map. However, to come across the Scout Striders, you’ll want to drop into these planets on medium or higher difficulty, so be prepared for a challenge.
Thankfully, they’re not limited to a few planets, so there’s no need to worry about certain locations being liberated or too busy for you to join.
How to kill Scout Striders in Helldivers 2
With the way the Scout Striders are designed, the front of the enemy is completely bulletproof, so the best way to kill one is to either get behind it or blow it up.
Thankfully the back is always exposed, so as long as you can get behind it without being in danger, you’ll be able to take it down easily as it’s pretty weak back there. Alternatively, a few grenades or Strategem never hurt anyone (well apart from the bugs and robots).
