Leaked “Lil’ Kevin” challenges coming to Fortnite will unlock cube inspired item

A new set of challenges are coming to Fortnite Battle Royale, associated with the ‘Lil Kev’ back bling, and the return of loot lake.

Update v6.21 went live for Fortnite on November 1, signalling data miners to get to work digging through the new game files to see what they could uncover.

One such file is peculiarly named ‘Schedule_LTM_LilKevin’, and while specific details are not clear, it appears that it will contain a new set of challenges.

Also discovered in game files was the ‘Lil Kev’ back bling. A strange goggly-eyed object, seemingly inspired by the cube fragments, with the description “Loves to play in the lake”.

Whatever this event or challenges entail, it seems that completing them will earn you this Lil Kev back bling, for completing three tasks:

  • Gain 5000 XP
  • Outlive Opponents (500)
  • Play Matches (15)

On completion of these challenges, you will earn the Lil Kev back bling (see below), and perhaps some other XP related rewards.

Given the description of the Lil Kev backbling, it’s possible that these challenges will go live following the in game live event on Sunday, November 4, which is when Loot Lake is expected to return too.
