YouTuber and host of ‘DramaAlert’ Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem and online tournament organizer UMG have collaborated once again to host the eight running of the ‘Friday Fortnite’ celebrity tournament.

Returning for the eight week in a row on June 29th, the fan-favorite competition will once again feature a whopping $20,000 prize pool.

Created by KEEMSTAR to bring Fortnite and content creation closer, Friday Fortnite features some of the biggest names in the online community, including members of the Clout Gang, FaZe Clan, Team SoloMid, The Sidemen, OpTic Gaming, 100 Thieves, Luminosity Gaming, and a host of other big YouTubers and Twitch Streamers such as Ninja, Roman Atwood, Ricegum and more.

The winners of last week’s tournament were the FaZe pro player duo of ‘Tfue’ and ‘Cloak,’ who will be teaming up once again to defend their championship and become the first two players to win it for a fourth time, while no other player has managed to win the competition more than once.

The payouts for week eight of Friday Fortnite will be the following:

1st Place – $10,000

FRIDAY FORTNITE #8 – June 29th (1 PM PT, 4 PM ET, 9 PM BST, 6 AM AEST)

Since there are no custom games or lobbies in Fortnite yet, the tournament is played on public servers using the following rules:

Rules:

2v2 Matches

Streaming Rules:

UPDATED: You must have your delay set to 120 seconds on your OBS settings when you are streaming, failing to do so will result in a forfeit and or a replay of the match that was played.

How To Win:

For this tournament you will play two games. Each game you must keep track of your kills for each game played. The combined amount of kills for each game will determine which team will win the match. If out of the two games played the kills are tied a third map will be played to determine a winner for the match.

Sabotage:

You will party up as a SQUAD or DUOS with your opponent based on the type of match (1v1, 2v2). Any player inside of that queued session MAY NOT destroy any bases made by their opponent, make them fall, or any other actions that may help lead to that person’s death.

Examples of sabotage include but are not limited to:

  • Breaking or weakening opponent’s built or non built structures or cover by any means.
  • Causing opponents to miss shots or miss opportunities for advancing their scores in any way shape or form.
  • Building in front of your opponent.
  • Boogie Bombing your opponent.
  • The use of a boogie bomb on your opponent at any point in the game are subject to disqualifications.

Match Issues:

For no-shows in this tournament if you fail to respond within a fair given time frame you may be forfeited from the tournament.

All forfeits will be handled and made by the judgement of the UMG Admin Demo.

All forfeits to be valid will be reported by the players for them to seek if the match should be replayed and or a forfeit of the match.

The Friday Fortnite #4 tournament will be live-streamed and casted on the UMGEvents Twitch channel, as well as on the individual channels of many of the participants.

Streams of the competition will be added to this article once the start time of the competition draws near.

How to open chests in Upstate New York for Fortnite Week 10 challenges

The tenth week of Fortnite’s Season 4 has arrived, and with a new set of weekly challenges comes one task that asks players to open chests in Upstate New York. While this may sound confusing, here’s everything you need to make this challenge simple.

Fortnitemares has officially arrived, with Midas reappearing for the first time since his Device experiment backfired badly, flooding the entire island at the end of Season Two. Midas has regained control of The Agency, and his army of Shadow Henchmen are ready to cause chaos.

Of course, the overarching Season 4 storyline is all about superheroes, with Marvel characters invading the island. The evil Galactus is on his way, and heroes like Tony Stark, Dr. Doom, and Wolverine have made Fortnite their home as they prepare for battle.

With these characters, new POIs and locations have appeared, and to complete this specific challenge you’ll need to head to Upstate New York. While this may sound like a strange request, it actually exists as a landmark inside the game. If you aren’t sure where to find it though, we’ve got everything you need to complete this task.

Where to find Upstate New York in Fortnite Season 4

When Stark Industries arrived in Fortnite Season 4, you may have noticed that the POI is located inside what appears to be a massive bubble, which covers a large portion of the north-east corner of the island. It’s easy to spot, as the area is marked on the map for you, and the trees inside it are lovely shades of yellow and orange, compared to the normal green trees elsewhere.

Fans of Marvel Cinematic Universe will know that Stark calls New York his home, with the Stark Industries tower planted in the middle of New York City. Even the Avengers base in later films is located in Upstate New York. It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise then that his location in Fortnite was originally planted in the state of New York, which has now been transported to the island.

Thankfully, once you know where Upstate New York is, it’s easy to complete this Week 10 challenge, as all you need to do is open seven chests inside this landmark. They don’t even have to be opened in the same match, so just pick them up as you see them and you’ll finish this task eventually. If you’re still not sure where to go, we’ve included an image below.

It may take a couple of visits to Upstate New York to finish off this task, as there will be plenty of other people attempting it too. While Stark Industries has the most chests, it may be easier to head to some of the smaller buildings located in the zone, as they will be quieter and make you less likely to face enemies.

It’s well worth completing this task if you’re ranking up your Season 4 Battle Pass, as this offers a massive 25,000 XP reward, which will help you unlock new skins and cosmetic items.
