Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode was released in September 2017 and has since become one of the most popular games on the market, potentially because it’s free-to-play across all platforms.

However, a huge part of its success also comes down to the constant updates Epic has lined up to keep the game fresh with each and every patch – making it very unpredictable at times.

Epic GamesThe Fortnite map has been cracking since February 14.

A post to the Fortnite BR subreddit, though, reveals a potential route that the developer could explore in the next chapter of the game.

The fan-made trailer below, which creator SardarConcepts says it took a month to put together, gives us an idea of what fans could expect to see in the upcoming season.

This concept would bring together the earthquake event that has already started in Fortnite and merge it with an upcoming volcano eruption to melt the ice on the map.

This could be a direction that Epic has considered as more and more cracks start to appear across the Battle Royale map, but whether or not the idea will come to fruition remains to be seen. Fans will have to wait for the official Season 8 trailer to land for concrete answers.
