OpTic Gaming’s Scump discusses former streaming rivalry with Nadeshot
OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty captain Seth ‘Scump’ Abner has discussed his rivalry with former teammate, Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag.
Scump was appearing on the latest episode of The Eavesdrop Podcast, with host Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez, and began stating his desire to begin streaming competitive scrims against other professional teams during the Black Ops 4 season.
When discussing the future of the OpTic Call of Duty team’s future in content creation, Scump began to look back at the content creation rivalry he had with Nadeshot while the pair were both part of the OpTic organization.
“I used to be selfish,” commented Scump. “So did Nadeshot, back in the day. We were competing against each other because we both wanted to be that guy.”
“But because you raced each other, you raised each other with that internal competition,” responded Hector.
Scump agreed with Rodriguez, but felt there was a downside to the competition: “We hindered ourselves. We did raise each other, but we raised each other to work harder against each other.”
Abner also revealed that the pair have never spoken about the rivalry, stating: “Me and Nadeshot, we haven’t really talked about this. We haven’t shot the shit about the old days. We gotta hash this out.”
Scump and Nadeshot are back on good terms again, with the pair recently attending the McGregor vs Khabib UFC event in Las Vegas. H3CZ hopes to get the pair together on a future podcast to discuss their former rivalry.
