Black Ops 4: Treyarch responds to Blackout freezing issues for Xbox One X players
After first being spotted on December 22, Treyarch has announced an upcoming fix for a game-breaking Blackout glitch.
While Blackout has been many players favorite part of Black Ops 4 over the last couple of months, that hasn’t kept the mode safe from various issues.
One such issue that is causing Xbox One X players to experience crashes in Blackout following the December 18 update to Black Ops 4 has finally be addressed by Treyarch.
In a Tweet posted on December 27, Treyarch acknowledged the existence of the nasty glitch and said that a fix will be on the way as soon as a resolution is found.
We are aware that Xbox One X players are experiencing an intermittent freeze during late-game play in Blackout. We are actively investigating and will deploy an update as soon as we have a resolution to the issue. We will update you once that happens.

No information in regards to a time frame was given with the update, but given the speed at which Treyarch has issued previous patches, there should be too long of a wait.
According to multiple posts on Reddit prior to the Christmas holiday, many Xbox One users were experiencing crashes when matches had 15 or less players remaining.
It was happening to many players on a consistent basis, too, meaning it was a far from an isolated incident, which no doubt led to Treyarch’s announcement on the matter.
In the meantime, Xbox One X players might want to be cautious when playing Blackout since those precious wins might be hard to come by with the crucial glitch around.
