This Titanfall attachment might be perfect for the G7 Scout in Apex Legends

Apex Legends takes place in the same universe as Titanfall and a number of weapons and attachments appear in both games.

The G2 rifle in Titanfall was not classified as a sniper, but its Apex Legends G7 successor is.

The has struggled to find a use in Apex, since it is outclassed at long ranges by the Longbow and even the Triple Take with enough attachments.

At closer ranges, it isn’t much of a match for the fully auto options players have available to them.

The disappointing performance of the G7 has led some Apex fans to search for ways to improve it, and the best answer might be an attachment from Respawn’s previous game – Titanfall 2.

Since the G2 was in the Auto Rifle class, Respawn gave it a modification to help in mid to close battles, the Match Trigger.

As requested by reddit user nthdayoncaprica, the Match Trigger eliminates the fire rate cap of semi-auto weapons, allowing you to fire as fast as you can click your mouse or pull your triggers.

The concept of increasing fire rate already exists in Apex Legends, notably on the Prowler SMG and Devotion LMG, so the Match Trigger would not be out of place on the G7.

The G7’s significant bullet drop at range might still lead snipers to look for a Longbow, but the Match Trigger could give the G7 an actual role in the mid to long ranges.
