An Apex Legends leak has revealed all the abilities that are in the works for Loba – with two that appear to be pretty similar, though there might be some balancing and testing needed first.

With the start of each new Apex Legends season, players are able to get their hands on an all-new legend that changes the game in one way or another. For quite some time, there have been leaks about unreleased legends – with the newest appearing to be Loba.

The unreleased legend has been rumored as far back as season three, though hints and leaks have released started to appear throughout season four. As the game has begun building towards season five, which is set to launch on May 5, more leaks have reared their head – including some animations.

Respawn Entertainment
The Girl from Apex Legends’ Season 4 trailer appears to be Loba.

However, Apex Legends data miner iLootGames has revealed that the character currently has four abilities in the works – with their names and descriptions being revealed, though there is no confirmed distinction between tactical, passive, and ultimate.

The abilities, which had rumored previously, focus on the character’s thieving backstory – as well as her having the ability to teleport across the map through translocation. As of now, her abilities are as follows:

  • Ability 1 – Burglar’s Best Friend – throw a disc and teleport to that location
  • Ability 2 – Supply for Demand – Hold to choose a type of loot. Reveal that type of loot in the area around you through walls
  • Ability 3 – Eye for Quality – Loba can see through nearby walls for loot
  • Ability 4 – Black Market Boutique – Place a device that can steal all nearby loot.

The YouTuber noted that Burglar’s Best Friend would appear to be the Tactical due to some leaked animations, and that Black Market Boutique appears to be her Ultimate considering how powerful it seems.

As for the other two, seeing as they seem to be the same, iLootGames added that Respawn could be testing between them to see which works better as a passive ability.

Of course, though the leaker has been ultra-reliable in the past – including recently with the Prowlers in the Old Ways Event – there is no way of knowing what is in store until Respawn adds the character.

They threw a spanner into the works with the release of season four as every Apex Legends fan was expecting to get Forge but ended up getting Revenant.

Apex Legends dev responds to Winter Express ‘crush’ bug

An Apex Legends developer has responded to a frustrating bug that is crushing players in corners in the Winter Express LTM.

With the holiday season fast approaching, game developers across the globe are racing to get their updates in so that players can celebrate while also playing their favorite games. In the case of Respawn, the Apex Legends dev have brought back the Holo-Day Bash event as well as the Winter Express LTM.

The popular limited-time mode is pretty simple, with players battling in tight spaces, and with random loadouts, to take control of the train that used to chug around World’s Edge.

While it is incredibly fun, there are a few issues cropping up – with the biggest one, this time around, seeing players being crushed when they go near certain corners or interact with a teammate.

EAThe Winter Express LTM provides a new element to squad-on-squad combat.

Anyone who likes to get their teammates a friendly punch will have noticed the issue, but Apex Legends player blinnddd was confused at first – asking if it was a bug or an intended consequence of getting their teammate a tap.

Plenty of players quickly responded to say it was an issue before Daniel Klein – a Senior Game Designer at Respawn – chimed in to confirm it’s a problem, but it’s not exactly a simple one to get ironed out.

“F**king moving geo 🙁 Yeah, it’s a bug, but not an easy one to fix, he commented shortly after the post went up on the Apex Legends subreddit. “Hope that was in the grace period!”

Additionally, the problem has been flagged on Respawn’s public Trello board of Apex Legends issues, but it’s purely in the investigating phase for now.

The Holo-Day bash event, and the Winter Express LTM, are set to run until January 4, so there is plenty of time to get it straightened out, but as Klein notes, its not an easy one. So, we’ll just have to wait and see.
