The first significant Warframe update of 2024 has been announced, with Dante Unbound set to bring an exciting new Warframe and some much-needed quality-of-life changes.

Fresh off the back of their successes of the Whispers in the Walls update, Digital Extremes has confirmed more is on the way. Whispers in the Walls was released in December and was met with generally positive feedback from the game’s significant audience.

As a mainline update, it had a heavy focus on Warframe’s ever-expanding narrative. That said, it was also packed to the rafters with extra activities, equipment and even a new Warframe, in Qorvex. Though Dante Unbound will not be as significant in scale, there is still plenty on the way to look forward to.

Dante Unbound introduces titular new Warframe

The new Warframe coming in Dante Unbound

Dante itself is the new Warframe that supposedly takes design cues from traditional MMO casters. Coming complete with his own Exalted Weapon in Noctua, a Grimoire bound to the frame itself. Supposedly, this Warframe allows players to take out enemies by launching Spectral Pages at them.

The first weapon of this type was added in the aforementioned Updated 35.0. Whispers in the Walls. That Grimoire has proved to be a popular secondary weapon that deals solid Electricity Damage. Though it hasn’t been specified yet, this will likely deal damage of a different element type, whether it be a primary element or a secondary mix of two.

Dante Unbound quality-of-life updates

There are some interesting reworks coming with Dante Unbound that should bring at least one Warframe up to new levels. Inaros, the Living Sandstorm, is getting several quality-of-life updates as part of a wider rework. The details of their plans for the Warframe are yet to be made public.

Much of the content related to the Duviri is getting updated in an effort that Digital Extremes are referring to as “less bug, more hug.” This includes changes to the Corpus Boss of the Venus system, Jackal and a highly-requested change that should see Circuit progress save between decrees.

There is also a significant move towards achieving greater variety in “Systemic Content.” Specifically, this will include more Steel Path Bounties, Incursions and extra Axi Fissures across more regions.

That’s everything we know so far about the upcoming Dante Unbound update for Warframe. With more set to be announced in the next few weeks, there are likely to be further behind-the-scenes changes soon.
