Twitch streamer ‘KiaraaKitty’ has been banned from entering Taiwan after staging an “attack” where a stranger pelted her with eggs in a viral broadcast.

In February 2024, popular Singaporean Twitch streamer Kiaraakitty was broadcasting her travels in Taiwan when a woman approached her and began pelting her with eggs.

The stranger claimed she was getting revenge after Kiaraakitty tried to “seduce” her husband — but the streamer held her ground, saying, “I don’t know who your husband is. Are you mad?”

Kiaraakitty claimed she had filed a police report about the incident… but it turns out the attack was entirely faked.

Taiwan police denied that the streamer had filed a report with them, arguing that she orchestrated the attack to get views. Additionally, the stranger who ‘attacked’ her with eggs was actually a 32-year-old Singaporean man who was working with Kiaraakitty.

She admitted to this during a tearful stream shortly thereafter, saying in Mandarin, “It was my negligence. I didn’t think this through. …I’m really sorry. I just wanted to be funny.”

As a result of the fiasco, Kiaraakitty has now been banned from entering Taiwan. Reports from the Taiwan Central News Agency state that the country’s immigration department issued a press release announcing that the streamer is prohibited from entering its borders.

While the exact length of Kiaraa’s ban is as-yet unknown, the maximum penalty is five years.

That isn’t the only punishment the influencer is facing due to the phony ‘egg attack,’ either. The Kaohsiung District Court is taking over the case, and both Kiaraa and her accomplice now face charges for violating Taiwan’s Social Order Maintenance Act.

Kiaraakitty is just the latest streamer to face legal consequences for their live streams after Johnny Somali was hit with a ¥200,000 fine for loudly streaming in a restaurant in Japan.
