When to pee during Dune 2

Dune 2 is a very long sci-fi movie, so with that in mind, this is when to pee during Dune 2.

Although Denis Villeneuve split Frank Herbert’s seminal 1965 novel Dune into three films, he hasn’t short-changed viewers when it comes to running times.

Dune: Part One clocked in at a whopping 155 minutes. Dune 2 goes further, lasting for a butt-numbing 165 minutes.

So should you be tanked up on soft drinks while you watch, these are the best times to hit the bathroom during the Dune 2 runtime to not miss anything crucial.

When to pee during Dune 2

One hour into Dune 2 is a good time to pee. If you can wait a little longer, our suggestion is 105-109 minutes, just before the two-hour mark.

We’ve picked two quieter moments in the movie, where the film is given time to breathe, but where you won’t miss much in terms of story or spectacle should you depart.

Below are descriptions of the scenes where you can quickly run out to the bathroom, which include very minor spoilers. These aren’t exact timestamps, as the film hasn’t been released digitally yet.

60-64 minutes into Dune 2: Lady Jessica complains that Paul Atreidis doesn’t believe in himself and is blinded by love. There’s then more talk of the prophecy and Paul’s visions before she is spirited away and faces a tough journey in bad weather. Just make sure you are back in your seat soon after for an explosive sequence.

105-109 minutes into Dune 2: Paul and Stilgar are arguing about the prophecy, and there’s yet more vision action, followed by an emotional but non-essential farewell between two characters.
