Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the latest game set in the DC universe by developer Rocksteady Games that many may be wondering if it’s possible to play on the Steam Deck. So, here’s what we know.

Developer Rocksteady Games has yet again returned to the DC comics with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Instead of Batman taking center stage, this upcoming third-person action shooter focuses on everyone’s favorite gang of miscreants, the Suicide Squad, as they prepare to take down the Justice League and save the world.

It won’t be long until Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark will be blasting their way onto the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC come launch. With Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League being available on Steam, fighting through the streets of Metropolis is likely to be ideal to play on the go.

With that in mind, here’s everything we know about whether or not Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available on Steam Deck.

Is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League on Steam Deck?

There isn’t yet any confirmation that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is playable on the Steam Deck.

With the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League release date still on the horizon, there hasn’t yet been any news regarding its compatibility on the Valve handheld. As it stands, the upcoming Rocksteady Games title hasn’t yet been through Valve’s rigorous testing process, so we don’t know if it’ll be playable, or better yet, fully verified.

As it stands, the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League PC specs aren’t as demanding as other AAA games, which bodes well for the performance on the Deck. The minimum requirements call for the use of graphics cards like the Nvidia GTX 1070, or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 paired with an Intel i5-8400K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU and 16GB of RAM. It’s likely then, at the lowest to medium settings, the Steam Deck shouldn’t struggle to keep up with the action and should at least get a ‘playable’ commendation on Steam.

However, the Steam page for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League states the upcoming game comes equipped with Denuvo DRM. The Denuvo Anti-Tamper technology exists to primarily prevent piracy, but it has been known to affect the performance of games running on the Valve handheld.

Most notably, the recent addition of Enigma Protector DRM on Monster Hunter Rise made the otherwise fully verified game unable to run on the Steam Deck, until a recent fix. Until the full release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, we won’t know if the addition of Denuvo Anti-Tamper technology will affect the game’s performance on the PC gaming handheld going forward.

According to the Steam page, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will require 65GB of install space, before you whack enemies as the iconic Harley Quinn and friends on the handheld.

Picking up one of the best microSD cards for the Steam Deck will help ensure you have plenty storage space. Especially if you haven’t yet picked up the 1TB Steam Deck OLED or upgraded the SSD.
