The Traitors: Every current & upcoming spin-off within the franchise

The Traitors franchise has expanded itself across several different countries and continents. Here are all the existing spin-offs along with the new approved and rumored spin-offs.

The Traitors was originally started as a Dutch reality TV competition in 2021 created by Marc Pos. Due to its immense popularity and creative concept, the UK and US adaptations were launched swiftly in 2022 and 2023.

The game show concept is very simple to recreate as it centers around players placed in a castle in the Scottish Highlands for a game of trust and treachery. They are divided into two groups: The ‘faithful’ and ‘traitors,’ both aiming to eliminate the other for a huge cash prize.

The franchise has been adapted to air in at least 20 countries so far and many other production houses across the globe are eager to have a license on their hands. In 2023, the franchise was awarded as the fastest-growing unscripted format show of 2022.

The Traitors: Every current adaptation

After the release of The Traitors Netherlands, the show was adapted into 15 different versions, and some countries, such as Belgium, produced two different versions per language. The UK Series 2 got itself a separate spin-off named The Traitors: Uncloaked which involved audio-visual podcast interviews of the eliminated contestants.

The Traitors franchise upcoming spin-offs

The Traitors Quebec was announced for 2024 and is to be released under Noovo Network. Along with this adaptation, The Traitors Poland and The Traitors Israel were announced to air in 2024 as well.

The Traitors Czech Republic and The Traitors Ireland were approved and are in pre-production stages. The Czech Republic adaptation is announced to be under Good TV Production and TV Prima.

Indian edition of The Traitors might be on its way

After all the excitement the franchise gathered over the past two years, fans on Reddit are anticipated to know what other adaptations could be on their way. So far, it is rumored that The Traitors is under discussion to launch in Croatia, India, and Romania.
