Ekin-Su from the second season of The Traitors US shared in an exclusive interview with Dexerto what it was like being lowered into her grave after being murdered in plain sight.

Ekin-Su, 29, shared with Dexerto the life-changing experience she had while being lowered into her grave after she was murdered in The Traitors US Season 2.

Though she was murdered in plain sight when traitor Pavarti Shallow offered her a glass of wine out of a chalice, Ekin-Su said that she didn’t see her demise coming.

However, when Alan Cumming announced to contestants that one of them had been anonymously poisoned, Ekin-Su had an intuitive feeling that it was her.

Here’s everything Ekin-Su had to say about her moment in the grave and how she was right about being the one murdered in Episode 4 of The Traitors US Season 2.

Ekin-Su said she’s not the same person after being lowered into a very lifelike grave in The Traitors Season 2.

Ekin-Su depended on her gut feelings to navigate her murder in plain sight

Though Ekin-Su was the only contestant given poison, she explained how she never expected the murderer to be Pavarti, saying, “Only that night before I just thought she was being nice. I genuinely didn’t think it was her.”

However, when she began getting closer to the grave site the following day, Ekin-Su said that she began to get “panicky,” as her gut feeling was that she was next to go.

Ekin-Su depended so much on her intuition, saying, “I’ve always been good at guts, my gut is… sounds crazy, but, I have this thing where I feel things before it happens. Something didn’t feel right that morning at breakfast. When Alan said ‘poison’… I felt like it was me.”

The Traitors’ US faithful also mentioned that watching her own death happen was “crazy,” as she was able to smell the mud and feel the emptiness of the grave she was being lowered into.

Ekin-Su then went further into detail about feeling as if she was reborn at that moment, “It felt like the old Ekin-Su was dying and the new one was being born.”

She continued, “After that scene, I am not the same person. I am telling you, after I was buried, it’s almost like something clicked in my head and I realized how short life really was and that I need to just live my life and be happy and do what I want to do and love life, and have no grudges against the world, and just enjoy every second.”

What’s next for Ekin-Su?

Though Ekin-Su was murdered mid-season on The Traitors US Season 2, she’s about to travel to the US from the UK for various red-carpet events.

Eager for what’s next, Ekin-Su hopes that she’ll land hosting gigs and interviews on hit talk shows like Kelly Clarkson.

Not only that, but Ekin-Su would love to play a role in the next thriller, as she began her career as a serial killer on a soap opera.
