Below Deck welcomes demanding charter guests on the show, and fans believe they’re being prompted to cause drama between crew members.

The Below Deck franchise focuses on the crew members, but the charter guests also bring excitement to the show.

With their detailed preference sheets, high-maintenance demands, and over-the-top personalities, they challenge the crew members during their charter.

Below Deck has the most outrageous charter guests, including Delores from Season 8, who jumped off the boat in the middle of the night.

There have been other Below Deck charter guests who were also as dramatic as Dolores, and they make the show interesting to watch.

Below Deck fans believe charter guests milk their screen time

On Reddit, Below Deck fans accused producers of purposely encouraging charter guests to create drama with the crew after seeing a guest complain about the food on Below Deck Season 11, Episode 3.

“I’ve always wondered this and I’m high watching the latest episode when the bald guest told Frasier ‘Look, we all love this, but can you tell the chef we hated it? Just to f*ck with his emotions.,” the fan wrote.

They continued, “Now I don’t doubt that this guy is just an a**hole and actually finds saying that funny, but I started wondering if guests are encouraged/persuaded to f*ck with the crew and this guy just said it so blatantly. Especially in these later seasons where there’s a massive emphasis on drama.”

“I’m not sure how much of it is lightly encouraged by production and how much of it is that the type of guests on this show actively want to be on TV and know that they’re only getting screen time if they’re dramatic,” another fan added.

“I think it’s just the caliber of people who want to go on the show. Mostly new money who don’t know how to act. I absolutely hate people who act like this when interacting with people simply trying to do their jobs,” a third fan chimed in.

Below Deck is known for having crew conflict on board, but fans feel that the guests don’t make it easy for them to do their jobs.

The new season will introduce many more memorable charter guests, such as Jill Zarin from The Real Housewives of New York, which should make for some juicy drama.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m ET on Bravo.
