A lucky Pokemon TCG player has shared some snaps of a treasure trove of vintage Pokemon merchandise and cards that they found tucked away in their basement.

If you’ve ever tried to make some money off of your childhood Pokemon cards, you’re sure to feel a little envious when you see the haul that one Reddit user found in their basement recently.

Sharing the pictures in the r/pokemoncards Subreddit, user ExperienceOk4273 displayed a mountain of boxes full to the brim with vintage merchandise and trading cards.

The Pokemon TCG fan explains in the post that the merchandise was originally picked up thanks to their father’s job at a Pokemon retailer and it’s sat in storage ever since.

This basement haul is full of collector’s pieces, with some notable items in the boxes including Wizards of the Coast Pokemon cards, Pokemon Action Flipz, and some official Series One Pokemon stickers.

Pokemon TCG players in the Subreddit were equal measures excited and jealous, with some declaring that “it should have been them” and others praising the user for winning the lottery.

It’s always exciting to find rare Pokemon cards but finding Pokemon merch can also run up a good price for collectors and investors. The box of Series One Action Flipz alone can be found selling for high prices once graded.
