xQc looks like Junkrat in overwatch 2

Junkrat’s long-awaited Overwatch 2 redesign was revealed in a new Junker Queen gameplay trailer and fans think the DPS hero looks an awful lot like Twitch star Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel.

Overwatch 2 has been rolling out hero redesigns, often quietly showing them off in gameplay footage and trailers. At long last, on June 21, the devs showed off Junkrat’s.

This redesign sees goggles added to the explosive hero’s head while transforming his green and yellow trunks into a dark red.

Fans have taken to the trash mouse’s new look, but amusingly, some believe he has a striking resemblance to former Overwatch League pro xQc.

Overwatch 2 fans compare Junkrat to xQc

In a post on Reddit documenting the change, a user remarked how the hero looks similar to the Twitch streamer. “Just looks like xQc honestly,” they wrote. “Was wondering if he’d ever get his own skin!”

Others seemed to agree, asking the user to delete their comment because they “can’t unsee” the resemblance.

A similar sentiment was shared on Twitter with a user joking that the skin could add some xQc voice lines.

“Since Junk looks just like xQc, I’ll start a petition to add more fitting voice lines, like ‘Shut the f**k up, you are trash,’” they wrote.

So far, the French Canadian hasn’t commented on the comparisons, but we’ll update this with his take if he shares one.

It’s not clear if Blizzard based the redesign off xQc at all, but with Overwatch trying to do away with real-world references, it’s likely just a coincidence. Still, it would certainly be interesting if Overwatch began adding streamer-related skins for players to unlock with its new battle pass.
