An odd purple question mark glitch has appeared in Helldivers 2, rendering players’ loadouts useless. So, here’s how to fix it and get back into the fight for liberty.

Many players are reporting an odd glitch appearing on their characters in the form of a distinctly obvious and unnatural purple question mark. Frustratingly, while it certainly looks weird, it’s also prohibiting some players from being able to access and use their primary or secondary weapons, which can make fighting for democracy a little tricky.

Luckily, there is a temporary fix for this annoying glitch, meaning players can work around the purple question mark and enjoy the game until a patch clears up any issues. So, with that in mind, here’s how to fix the purple question mark bug in Helldivers 2.

Thanks to various reports on Reddit and by the community, the best way to fix the purple question mark bug in Helldivers 2 is to head to the Armory terminal on your ship and reselect your weapon. Doing so will essentially reset the weapons and give you what you asked for.

Alternatively, if that fix doesn’t work, then it’s always worth logging out of the game and reloading it, that will likely give it the kickstart it needs for you to effectively serve those bugs or robots some Liber-tea.
