Battle Pass super styles & more

The latest patch 28.10 reveals the super level styles for Battle Pass skins in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 that players can now claim after collecting all the Bonus Rewards. These styles can be claimed by spending 25 Battle Stars after level 150 for each tier to unlock the final one at level 200.

There are three styles namely Expressionist, Prismatic Terazzo, and Glasswork available for five Battle Pass outfits. The skins that haven’t received the super level styles are Peter Griffin and Underground Jones.

The update also brings a new set of Weekly Quests for Week 8, which unlocks the Quest Rewards section featuring the much-awaited Petercopter glider and more. Players need to complete a certain number of quests and own the Battle Pass to unlock the said cosmetics.

Solid Snake skin unlock

The latest Fortnite update also unlocked the Solid Snake skin for Battle Pass owners to claim by completing a number of dedicated quests.

Each cosmetic item in the Solid Snake set can now be unlocked upon completing a quest, all the way up until you unlock the Solid Snake skin and an additional style on Page 2. The cosmetic rewards feature some well-known easter eggs from the Metal Gear Solid games.

New skins

There are 10 new skins added to the game files that will soon be making an appearance in the Fortnite Item Shop. This includes the Raiden skin from the Metal Gear Solid collab that players will be able to get in the future.

Furthermore, a new TMNT collab skin for Shredder will also be released alongside the rumored Pizza Party consumable item. Players can expect the return of all the TMNT cosmetics back in the shop as well.

February Crew Pack revealed

The February Crew Pack for Fortnite has also been revealed which will bring the Lana Llane skin to the game with six selectable styles that players can unlock.

As always you can acquire the skin if you’re subscribed to Fortnite Crew and can also claim 1,000 V-Bucks and this season’s Battle Pass (950 V-Bucks will be refunded to you if you already own the pass).

Map changes

Fortnite update 28.10 also brings a significant change to the Chapter 5 Season 1 map by melting the snow that Winterfest 2023 brought upon the island.

Certain POIs that were once completely covered with snow will now see a change in the biome.

New weapons and items

Two new items, the EMP Stealth Camo and Cardboard Box, that was seen in the Chapter 5 Season 1 trailer are finally here and players will get to choose stealth as their strategy to infiltrate Society Mansions on the map.

Even though the EMP Stealth Camo has a cooldown, it has unlimited uses to help make obscuring a long-term strategy. You can’t attack while the EMP Stealth Camo is active, but you can disable it early by unequipping it, swapping to another item in your inventory, or simply deactivating it.

Upon disabling the device, you’ll unleash an EMP effect, damaging enemy Shields and bringing nearby vehicles to a stop. Furthermore, you can now hide in a Cardboard Box to blend in with the environment. You don’t have to sit still in a Cardboard Box, so try using it to advance secretly.

Weapon unvaults

The Anvil Rocket Launcher has been unvaulted with the new update. Lock onto a vehicle target and fire a rocket in its direction.

Anvil Rocket Launchers are findable from the ground and Chests and are for sale from Mecha Team Shadow in exchange for Bars.

LEGO Fortnite content update

Ever since its initial release in December 2023, LEGO Fortnite hasn’t received any major updates despite numerous balance changes and hotfixes.

Now the latest Fortnite update brings Launch Pads to LEGO Fortnite that players will be able to craft and build over their structures. Furthermore, several gameplay improvements and changes were made to the game that you can check out right here.

Alongside those, several skins have finally received their LEGO skin style and can now be seen in the locker and Item Shop before players can equip it in LEGO Fortnite. Players are still hoping for traversal items and rideable creatures to be added to the game with future updates.

New Rocket Racing content and Festival changes

The new update brings Drift Smoke (also known as trails) to Rocket Racing which players will be able to unlock by completing Season Zero Tune Up quests or purchasing them from the Item Shop. You will be able to use the trail color you unlock in Rocket League as well.

Furthermore, two new tracks and significant gameplay changes have been made to Rocket Racing that you can experience now by playing the game. Fortnite Festival also received numerous fixes with Jam Tracks for three more Lobby Music items as well as some gameplay improvements.

Balance Changes

  • The Enforcer AR has received a slight increase in bullet speed, damage, and headshot damage (and a reduction in bullet drop). This AR was lagging and needed a boost to compete with other weapon options.
  • The Reaper Sniper Rifle has received a slight reduction in bullet speed (and an increase in bullet drop), as many Reaper snipes were too easy to land with little counterplay.
  • The Hyper SMG has received an increase in overall accuracy via a tightened bullet spread. Like the Enforcer AR, this SMG was lagging and needed a boost to compete with other weapon options.
  • The Ballistic Shield has received a slight decrease in damage required to stagger the holder. This loadout option was often too powerful compared to others, especially in Zero Build.
  • Storm circle speed, sprint speed, and Energy regeneration have been reverted to match the same speed from Chapter 4. These reverted speeds better fit the current ideal pace of Fortnite BR.

Miscellaneous changes

  • Fixed an issue where players could sometimes be randomly eliminated in Snooty Steppes while walking along the cliffside.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause your crosshair to flick in another direction while you were sliding and aiming down sights with a scoped Sniper Rifle.
  • FOV Slider added to customize minimum and maximum settings.
  • Fixed an issue where using the same Emote as a nearby player could result in you facing the wrong direction.
  • The EMP Stealth Camo, Cardboard Boxes, and Anvil Rocket Launcher are not included in tournaments.

That’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite patch update 28.10. Check out more Fortnite content right here.
