Fortnite pro KingRichard has found a new org after announcing his return to competing

After leaving the organization earlier this year, Richard ‘KingRichard’ Nelson has returned to NRG Esports with a hilarious announcement video.

KingRichard was a part of the first major wave of Fortnite pros who signed with various esports teams, getting picked up by NRG back in January.

However, after a couple of months with the organization, he parted ways and signed with Team Envy in May, where he further made a name for himself with a big Friday Fortnite tournament win shortly thereafter.

Soon after his big win, Team Envy went through a complete restructure of their Fortnite team, which led to KingRichard again becoming a free agent.

After a couple months without a team, KingRichard has now come full circle and returned to the team that first gave him a home with the announcement coming in the form of a Lord of the Rings parody.

Being represented as King Aragorn in a scene from the award-winning trilogy, KingRichard stands before a large crowd as retakes his mantle as king of NRG.

You can even spot other members of the NRG family, such as Smash Bros player Nairoby ‘Nairo’ Quezada, in the crowd.

Even NRG owner and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal got in on the fun and welcomed KingRichard back with a video of his own.

While he reportedly hasn’t been invited to Week 4 of the Fall Skirmish, KingRichard is a member of the Bush Bandits and will surely see some action before the six-week competition concludes at TwitchCon later this month.
