Fortnite player “cooked” with SpongeBob skin concept

A Fortnite player shared their concept of a SpongeBob collab, and players absolutely loved this amazing creation.

Fortnite‘s crossovers and collabs with iconic media have been one of the most consistent highlights of Epic Games’ title. Open the in-game shop, and you’ll see nearly every well-known character from your favorite show, anime, or video game available for use.

These collaborations have been otherwordly in their success and have inspired players to create their wishlists of what they’d like to see. Recently, one player shared an “instant cop” Lethal Company concept, while another shared their hopes for a fourth DBZ collaboration.

A new concept enters the fray, and it might be some of the best work from a fan creation to date.

Fortnite player creates SpongeBob skinline

In a series of images shared to the Fortnite subreddit, AustinTheBear showed their ideas for an in-game SpongeBob concept. The level of detail is outrageous, with beloved characters like Hans the Hand, Gary the Snail, and even SpongeBob’s trusty Krusty Krab spatula leaping off the page.

The detail doesn’t stop there, as AustinTheBear shared concepts for LEGO Fornite, Festival, Rocket Racing, and an exceptionally detailed loading screen.

“Holy cow, you cooked,” one player said, summarizing the entire comments section. A few players were concerned with the Bubble Buddy player skin due to visual issues. A clever workaround recommended was making SpongeBob buff similar to how Peter Griffin was implemented into Fortnite.

Given Fortnite has skins for nearly everything, SpongeBob doesn’t seem as unlikely as it would’ve been during the game’s early stages.
