Red Reserve Recruit Former Pro CoD Player To Coach Call of Duty Team
The best European Call of Duty team are still looking to make significant improvements, as they recruit former pro player James “Dominate” Batz to coach the all star Red Reserve roster.
Coming hot of a 2nd place finish at CWL Anaheim, Red Reserve looked near flawless with the exception of their matches against Rise Nation, who of course they lost to in the grand final.
Despite what was undoubtedly a heartbreaking defeat, the roster of Rhys “Rated” Price”, Trei “Zer0” Morris, Matthew “Skrapz” Marshall and Joseph “Joee” will need to bounce back quickly for their final matches at the CWL Pro League.
And they will be assisted now by the team’s first coach, with the recruitment of Dominate adding to the growing list of top teams with a fifth member.
European rival’s Splyce recently signed legendary player Mark “MarkyB” Bryceland as the squad’s coach, and Red Reserve are now following their example.
Some top North American teams have had coaches since early in the CoD: WWII season, including OpTic Gaming (Tyler “TeePee” Polchow), eUnited (Brian “Saintt” Baroska) and Evil Geniuses (Embry “Bevils” Bevil).
With Red Reserve currently sitting atop of Division A with a 6-1 record, just above Evil Geniuses (5-2), Dominate will be helping the squad maintain their position to secure top seed at playoffs.
We’re very excited to have @DominateJB joining the team as our new Call of Duty Coach.#RESERVED pic.twitter.com/EKOYiIdPrS

Dominate previously played for Team Infused and Splyce during his playing career, and was part of the Epsilon Esports winning squad at Insomnia53, in 2014.
He tried his hand at competing in CoD: WWII, playing alongside veteran Shane “ShAnE” McKerral at CWL Birmingham, but the team only managed a top 40 placing.
Red Reserve will resume their pursuit of the top spot in Division A on Tuesday June 26th, when they will play Echo Fox. The team will also appear on Hot Mic ahead of the matches.
