The highly anticipated Haikyu movie is rolling out across the world soon — so, here’s a rundown of all its confirmed release dates so far.

Haikyu!! is a popular sports anime and manga series created by Haruichi Furudate. The franchise released its highly anticipated movie, titled Haikyu!! Movie: The Battle of the Garbage Dump on February 16, 2024, but it was only available to Japanese fans. The series is extremely popular across the globe, so it’s no wonder fans have been dying to watch the first of the two final movies of the series.

Another reason the anime movie is incredibly popular is that it features the iconic battle between Nekoma and Karasuno which is known as the eponymous Battle of the Garbage Dump. This match is something fans of the anime have been waiting for ages. The movie is one of the biggest hits of 2024, earning more than 61 million USD within two months with the sole release in Japan.

It is currently the fourth-biggest first-day box office earnings in Japanese cinema, ranking behind Jujutsu Kaisen 0, One Piece Film: Red, and Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. Soon, it’ll make its way into cinemas in other territories.

As well as its US release on May 31, Haikyu!! Movie: The Battle of the Garbage Dump will arrive in cinemas across Europe, Asia, and other countries between April and June, with both English dubbed and subbed versions.

Before the announcement of the global release date of the Haikyu movie, the sports anime film was previously released in Hong Kong and Taiwan around one month after the movie’s official release in the Japanese theatres. On Hong Kong, the anime movie was released on April 11 while it became available in Taiwan from April 12.

Thanks to the announcement at CinemaCon 2024, the Haikyu movie now has a global release date and fans all over the world have a chance to watch the much-awaited film. However, there is no information about the release date of the anime film in most of the Asian countries as of yet.

Haikyu!! Movie: The Battle of the Garbage Dump is the sequel movie of the fourth season of the anime series. It is the first part of the final two movies of the series. The sequel to this movie, any information about which is still unknown, will feature Karasuno’s match against Kamomedai where Hinata faces another little giant: Korai Hoshiumi.

The massive box office collection of the Haikyu movie will only get grander with its global release. Though Asian fans now have a release date for the hit anime movie, the information on when it will arrive in India, Indonesia, and Thailand is yet to be announced.
