A silly fan tweet finally confirmed it: Invincible’s Omni-Man is no match for the Powerpuff Girls.

The second season of Invincible is quickly approaching, and with it comes fans celebrating the characters and comics behind it all. While what we know so far about Season 2 has many worried about their favorite characters, there are still some that fans long to get the snot beat out of.

Chief among those characters: Omni-Man. The father of the lead character Invincible/Mark Grayson, Omni-Man is a Superman pastiche who broke bad. Throughout the first season, it’s revealed that the alien Omni-Man was sent to conquer Earth.

Fans revile him for the savage beatdown he laid on his own son. Fortunately, Invincible’s Twitter account confirmed a superteam that could take him down a peg.

Invincible’s official Twitter confirms the Powerpuff Girls would beat Omni-Man

Twitter user TetsuotheGoat asked their followers who would win in a fight: Omni-Man or the Powerpuff Girls. While this is the kind of largely innocuous fan battling that is commonplace on Twitter, they likely didn’t expect an official answer.

Sure enough, the official Invincible Twitter weighed in with an image of Omni-Man getting absolutely destroyed by the Powerpuff Girls. An attached parody of an Omni-Man quote declares, “There’s no stopping them!”

It’s the kind of obvious tongue-in-cheek humor you would expect from the Invincible account. While often emotional and incredibly violent, Invincible has a reputation for never taking itself too seriously.

Fortunately for Omni-Man, he likely won’t have to contend with Cartoon Network’s toughest superteam anytime soon. He will, however, make a pitstop in Outworld as Mortal Kombat 1’s first piece of DLC, which was announced at NYCC in conjunction with Invincible’s 20th anniversary celebration.

Omni-Man will presumably return in some form for Invincible Season 2, which lands on Prime Video on November 3. For more Invincible news, be sure to follow all of Dexerto’s coverage
