A Pokemon Trading Card Game fan has shared some amazing advice for what players can do with the extra coins they have picked up over the years.

The Pokemon TCG heavily relies on coin tosses for its mechanics, with many attacks and status effects relying on random chance to see if they work. This means that the luck of heads or tails can be a huge factor in whether your tactics succeed.

As such, there are many Pokemon TCG gift sets and structure decks that come with coins. These are usually heavy plastic coins, and they bear the image of different Pokemon, usually ones that appear in the set.

People who play Pokemon TCG a lot will quickly find themselves with lots of extra coins, as there’s no reason to keep more than a couple when you travel with your deck, especially as it’s not exactly difficult to procure a coin.

Pokemon TCG coins can be used as fridge magnets

A user on the Pokemon TCG Reddit has created a great way to put the spare coins to use. You can easily turn them into fridge magnets by attaching adhesive magnetic buttons to their backs, allowing them to be displayed in a place where they wouldn’t be distracting.

“I’ve kept every coin I’ve gotten over the years. I wasn’t sure how to display then till now. Thank you for the idea,” one user wrote, while another said, “I have so many coins, this is a wonderful idea! And you have some I’ve never seen, I need them!!!”

Not everyone agreed with the idea, however. “Y’all going to ruin them putting glue on em. People are buying vintage poke coins,” one user mentioned, “They even getting em graded. I mean if you don’t care or collect or worry about that kinda thing, great idea lol.”

It’s not uncommon for Pokemon TCG fans to display the cards in their homes. After all, they have incredible artwork, so framing them and hanging them on a wall isn’t too outlandish an idea, especially for fans of specific ‘Mons.

This is a rare instance of someone coming up with an idea for the Pokemon TCG coins that are often condemned to sitting unused in drawers. With this tip, they can have a place of prominence in the fans of PokeManiacs worldwide.
