Pokemon Go fans have shared the “pure terror” induced by discovering they’ve transferred over monsters with perfect IVs.

Pokemon Go is all about catching lots of monsters. However, the mobile game also allows fans to transfer their excess Pokemon off their phones to the mainline series.

However, it’s important to remember that those Pokemon trainers have transferred out of Pokemon Go can never return to the mobile game.

That’s why some trainers claimed they experienced “pure terror” after they discovered they likely transferred Pokemon with perfect IVs out of Pokemon Go and into the mainline games.

Pokemon Go fans lament lost Hundos after transfer

A curious trainer on the Pokemon Go subreddit asked the community the following question: “When you unlocked the perfect Dex, how many 4*s did you discover you had inadvertently transferred?”

The OP explained, “So I recently unlocked the perfect Dex. I was devastated to find I must have had a 4* Cubchoo at some point, but given it’s not within my current Pokemon, must have accidentally transferred it at some point.”

For those who may not know, trainers can unlock the ‘Perfect Dex’ after completing some hidden requirements. One of these requirements is catching at least 20 4-Star rated Pokemon.

According to the OP, “I thought that maybe I transferred it back when appraisals didn’t feature tangible numbers/sliders, but I think that feature was released before Cubchoo, so who knows what I did…”

The trainer wasn’t alone in their despair, as many others who unlocked the Perfect Dex also noted they’d had Hundos they transferred away at some point.

“A 4* Ralts. I will always hate myself for that,” said one player, while another said, “When I unlocked the 4* dex, I found out I have transferred a 4* Magnemite and Fufrou in the past.”

However, some lucky trainers were able to breathe a sigh of relief. “0 thank goodness. I was scrolling through with pure terror of what I may see lol.”

At the end of the day, being able to see the Perfect IV Pokemon you’ve caught may be both a blessing and a curse. Especially for those who have played since before 2019 when visual indicators were first introduced.
