Pokemon Go players are happy about a new QoL change that has affected the Raid mechanic, making it easier to tackle them without the help of others.

Pokemon Go players are quick to criticize Niantic for any issues with the game, especially ones relating to the play experience. Pokemon Go has been out for nearly a decade, yet it still has issues that have persisted for years despite fan outcry.

Pokemon Go’s Raids have come under fire many times, especially following the highly unpopular changes made to Remote Raid passes. Fans have been dissatisfied with recent Raids, especially ones that are only available briefly, making it difficult for people with full-time jobs or school to complete them.

Fortunately, Niantic occasionally listens to fans, leading to added much-needed QoL features that draw gratitude from the community at large.

Pokemon Go lets you ready up playing Solo in Raids

A user on the Pokemon Go Reddit has reported that players can now start Raids solo without needing to wait for two minutes. This is something that has been available in multiplayer Raids for a while but is only now possible for solo players.

“I noticed this the other day and was so happy,” one user wrote, “No more sitting there completely alone at my local library for 2 minutes before being able to solo raid lol. I honestly thought it was there the whole time and I had somehow never noticed, didn’t know it was recently added.”

“I also had the same reaction of “Am I stupid and just never noticed this, or is this a new feature,” another user said, “I only just got a local friend I play with so most every raid I’ve done before now has been solo and I’ve sat for two minutes waiting for no one to show up. Lol.”

The solo ready up isn’t the only QoL feature added, at least according to some players. “There’s also apparently a “heal all” button during raids when your Pokemon have all fainted, towards the bottom of the screen I guess, but I haven’t seen that either on mine.”

Soloing a Raid might seem unwise, but some lower-tier ones are more than doable with a decent team, especially if you have some Legendary or Mythical Pokemon with high stats.

Now that fans can skip straight to the Raid battles, they won’t have to waste time hanging out in public, waiting for an unnecessary countdown to tell them when they can finally unleash the fury on some unsuspecting Raid Pokemon.
