Pokemon Go fans sparked a debate among PvP players over who their most “hated” opponents were when battling competitively.

A big element of Pokemon Go is the competitive battling scene, which has even broken into official competitive tournaments in recent years, like Pokemon Worlds.

With so many Pokemon to choose from, many players try to get creative with the monsters they bring into the different Leagues. However, there are always strong Pokemon who rise above the competition.

As such, some fans on social media sparked a debate about who the most “hated” Pokemon opponent was in Pokemon Go’s PvP scene.

A post on the Pokemon Go subreddit sparked the debate, when a user named SnooPets7261 asked, “PvP players, who’s the Pokemon you hate the most going against?”

They shared two screenshots showing Swampert and Vigoroth, then explained, “I can’t pick between the two. I hate both of them equally.

They continued and said, “Maybe Swampert slightly more. Have a very good win rate VS both, but still I never seem to enjoy these battles even when I win.”

Many players agreed that they were tired of seeing Swampert in competitive play as it’s one of the most common sights.

A handful of players called out Skeledirge. “Skeledirge is the bane of my existence,” said one player. Another said, “Skeledirge hurts. I don’t have particularly great Pokemon for GL Remix, and that one just particularly hurts my party of Clodsire/Charjabug/Steelix if they have shields…”

More common picks in the comments were Pokemon like Melmetal, Greninja, and Giratina.

“Giratina has a really strong defense and barely any weaknesses. I hate it,” said one fan. Many others agreed, with one player saying it was the reason they “hated Ultra League.”

Considering the ever-changing meta of Pokemon Go’s PvP space, it will be interesting to see what Pokemon become the most reviled in future seasons.
