Zendaya, one of the stars of the upcoming film Dune 2, has spoken up about her willingness to come back for third movie.

At long last, Dune fans have just two more months to wait until they can watch the upcoming action-packed sequel.

Dune: Part Two is a continuation of the 2021 film which followed Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and his noble house go to war over the control of the deadly and inhospitable desert planet Arrakis which is home to a “spice” that enhances certain qualities in people.

The second part of the movie is set to premiere of March 2024 and there have been talks about a third film already in the works, which Dune star Zendaya has opened up about being excited to be a part of.

Zendaya is more than ready to film Dune 3

The cast of Dune: Part Two sat down with Fandango to discuss all things about the upcoming sci-fi epic thriller.

Director Denis Villeneuve has been quite public about his want to complete the Dune series as a trilogy, but no one from the cast has spoken up about wanting to return until now as star Zendaya made her stance on coming back quite clear.

“Would we be down? I mean of course,” Zendaya said, “Any time Denis calls it’s a yes from me. I’m excited to see what happens. I started ‘Messiah’ and I was like, ‘Woah, I’m only shooting the first movie. Let me just go back to the first one.’ It’s so much to take in, but there’s no better hands with better care and love for it than Denis.”

While Dune: Part One and Two are based on Frank Herbert’s novel Dune, the third film is set to be based on Herbet’s sequel novel Dune Messiah.

Villeneuve has revealed that the script for the third film is nearly done despite the concept not being green lit by Warner Bros. Pictures, but he’s also been very candid about taking a detour between Dune films in order to preserve his “mental sanity.”
