With the news of sequels on the minds of many, some Sheldon Cooper fans think we could eventually see his entire life serialized for TV.

While we know that Jim Parsons – alongside Amy Cooper actress Mayim Bialik – are confirmed for the upcoming finale, there are still no details surrounding how they will be incorporated. Some fans think this could be a set-up for Sheldon’s imagination, while others have turned to what might happen next.

“We need to see every stage of Sheldon’s life. we need to see Sheldon d*e,” one social media post read. “Let’s have Anthony Hopkins play Old Sheldon,” another fan theorized.

It’s say to say that plenty of spinoff ideas have been tossed around by fans since the Young Sheldon Season 7 announcement, including Mid-Life Crisis Sheldon, Sheldon: The Resurrection, and Zombie Sheldon.

“From Sheldon Babies to Elder Sheldon, not a moment of this man’s life will be unseen and unknown,” a third fan agreed, with others unclear how the Sheldon-verse is successfully surviving for so long.

Regardless, it’s clear that the appetite for Sheldon’s life shows no signs of slowing down, with the prequel now one of the most-watched shows in the U.S. As for the return of Parsons, fans of the original show, The Big Bang Theory, can’t wait to see how the finale pans out.

“Bro’s gonna make a cameo in a post-credit scene… Sheldon WILL return,” one fan posted in response to the announcement on X/Twitter. “Looks like we’re in for a time-traveling treat,” added another.

Young Sheldon Season 7 continues on CBS until May 16, 2024. Catch up with plenty more great TV shows to stream here.
