Yellowstone fans attack the show’s most “psychotic” character

While there are plenty of questionable personalities on Yellowstone, fans of the Western drama series have now rallied together to attack one character in particular.

When there are literal murderers on your show, the crown for the most “psychotic” character could go to just about anyone. In Yellowstone, that title could easily be granted to John Dutton, who makes his own rules with complete disregard for the law. Equally, it could be Beth, who takes any opportunity she can to emotionally torture others.

Otherwise, it could also be any number of the Dutton’s enemies and those who do their bidding. (Kidnapping children and attacking people with snakes aren’t exactly moves made by well-adjusted folks.)

But Yellowstone fans have found a new target for their wrath, and it’s someone they dub to be completely unreasonable.

Yellowstone fans dub Mia as “psychotic”

In a post on the Yellowstone subreddit, one user shared their belief that Jimmy betrayed Mia and that she deserved better. This quickly sparked a wave of backlash, with other fans jumping in to argue that Mia is “toxic” and “psychotic”.

“I am sorry but can we please talk about how wrong Jimmy did Mia in the show?? Mia nursed him back to health TWICE, encouraged and loved him and the entire time he talked about how he had no one and was all alone and so forth. Mia deserved better,” the original post wrote.

This was where other users jumped in to counter that point. For those who don’t remember, Mia was the barrel racer who took a shine to Jimmy after he got into the rodeo circle. The two dated for a little while until he eventually left to join the 6666 ranch in Texas.

As far as Mia was concerned, if Jimmy left, then they wouldn’t be together any longer. Jimmy, taking that at face value, went to 6666 and met Emily, a vet who he later became engaged to. When Jimmy brings Emily back to Yellowstone, Mia sees them together and attacks the other woman, devastated. However, it seems as though Yellowstone viewers aren’t all that sympathetic to Mia’s arc.

“She almost killed him by making him get back on a horse. She also made him break his promise to John. If it wasn’t for that he could’ve stayed at Yellowstone,” one comment said.

“Did you miss the fact she told him she wasn’t waiting on him when he got shipped to Texas the first time?” one user asked the original post. “He moved on.”

“Mia is with Jimmy for the potential she sees in him…who he might become. Emily is with him at face value…who he is today,” added another.

“Mia was psychotic,” said one user. “She knew Jimmy for an entire 45 seconds before he ended up paralyzed, then shows up at the hospital and immediately introduced herself as his girlfriend to the nurse.”

“She cold shouldered Jimmy,” wrote another. “He wanted to talk and she straight up ignored him. Jimmy is a person with feelings and she only thought about herself. He went on a limb and she made it seem that she wouldn’t wait for him. He deserves better and found better. She is selfish and deserved what she got.”

So, the consensus is clear: Mia bad, Jimmy good. It’s unlikely we’ll ever see Mia again, and Emily will almost certainly appear in the upcoming 6666 spinoff, so at least fans can rest easy on that front.
