Percy’s Quest to find the lightning bolt continues in the Disney+ series Percy Jackson, as Episode 6 introduced the character Augustus – but who’s the actor behind the character?

Percy Jackson Episode 6 takes the mystery behind the lightning bolt thief even further as Percy and the others hunt down more clues. Their clues led them to the infamous Lotus Hotel that fans remember from the books and the movie.

Amid the new leg of their journey, fans couldn’t help but notice a new character and old friend of Grover. Percy Jackson introduced the character Augustus, a fellow Satyr. He too is on his own quest to find Pan, the God of Nature.

While fans may be scratching their heads at who’s the actor who plays Augusts, we have the answer right here.

Who’s the actor playing Augustus?

No, it’s not Mark Hammill. In Percy Jackson, the actor playing Augustus is Canadian playwright Ted Dykstra.

Many fans seem to have seen the striking resemblance to Star Wars icon Mark Hammill in Dykstra. It likely led to a lot of Google searches. But it’s not true. Dykstra has a few roles under his belt that some parents might recognize.

He’s one of the founding members of the Soulpepper Theatre Company in Ontario and has writing credits for the plays Two Pianos Four Hands, Dorian, and Evangeline. One interesting fact about the actor and playwright is that he also co-founded an independent record label. Actorboy Records was created alongside CSI: NY actor Gary Sinise.

When it comes to his on-screen roles, Dykstra played German composer and musician Bach in Bach’s Fight for Freedom. The actor also played Ed Broadbent in Mulroney: The Opera. He’s also done some voice work as the character Dad Tiger in the children’s animated series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Reg in RoboRoach.

In Percy Jackson, fans will have to see if he will reprise his role for future episodes. Augustus finds himself under the blissful control of the Lotus Hotel which has him forget who he is and remain trapped inside. He informs Grover that Pan is at the hotel, but he loses his memory. With Grover, they search to find Pan, and at some point when Percy and Annabeth look for Grover, Augustus runs away.
