In Suits L.A., the classic symbols of professionalism, briefcase, and tie, make a comeback from the 2011 series, centering on a new law firm with fresh characters.

Suits was one of the biggest shows on cable TV that has many dreaming of becoming a lawyer without the expense of law school. The series focused on a law school dropout who has a run-in with the police that lands him seeking refuge at a reputable New York law firm.

His wit and charm land him a job. The catch? He has no degree and is lying. Suits has recently gained a resurgence and popularity thanks to its re-run on Netflix. Fans are eager for a Season 10, but more intrigued by Suits L.A.

Aaron Korsch announced the Suits universe would live on. Instead of skyscrapers, the legal drama would focus on a group of out of L.A. As more details surface, here’s everything we know.

Suits L.A. Plot: What’s the series about?

A former federal prosecutor leaves New York behind to represent wealthy clients in Los Angeles, but as his practice goes downhill he has to take on an old role and face his past.

The most anyone knew about the new series was its new location out in sunny California. A clear change from the hustle and bustle of New York.

Per Deadline, the storyline for Suits L.A. has finally been revealed.

“Suits L.A. centers on Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”

“Fifteen years ago, the former New York prosecutor joined forces with his old buddy, Stuart Lane, to build an L.A. law firm that specializes in criminal and entertainment law,” reported Deadline.

For now, NBC has ordered a pilot episode of the new series with Victoria Mahoney as the director.

Suits L.A.: Who’s in the cast?

Stephen Amell has been announced to play the leading role of Ted Black for Suits L.A. Read the current cast list below:

Along with the official storyline for the pilot and series, Arrow star Stephen Amell was announced as the lead. As for other cast members, NBC has yet to make any official announcements for the rest of the cast.

Previous reports contradict the recent news of the lead character. It was speculated the series would focus on a female character named Erica who works for an entertainment law firm.

According to Deadline, actor Josh Dermitt has been cast in Suits L.A. to star opposite Amell. He will play the role of Stuart Lane, Black’s partner who established their law firm 15 years ago. The character is described as energetic, yet self-absorbed.

Per Variety, Suits L.A. has cast its female lead with Lex Scott Davis in the role of Erica Rollins. Her character works with Ted and Stuart and admires some of her team’s driven nature. There are no details about her character plot in the series.

Suits fans are curious if the original cast will make cameo appearances. It now revealed that there could be a possibility. With Ted having once worked in New York and his past coming back, it could lead to cameos of the beloved lawyers from Pearson Hardman. Actor Patrick J. Adams has previously voiced his interest in returning for Suits L.A.
